ESCAPING ABUSE

An Order of Protection is right for you if you have been subjected to physical violence, property destruction, being held against your will, sexual abuse, domestic violence, harassment, or threats of these. Orders of Protection can temporarily evict your abuser from your shared home, can extend to protect your children & can even provide you with monetary support. The process begins with an “ex parte application”, meaning your abuser does not know you are filing. If you're granted a temporary order based on your application, you are immediately protected. Your abuser will be served by law enforcement, violations of the order are subject to a warrantless arrest & a successful case ends in trial granting you an Order of Protection which will last for up to one year.

We know that some issues can be time sensitive. We make same-day appointments for emergency situations so that you can get what you need as soon as possible to protect you & your family. If you cannot come to the office, we can come to you. We will work around your schedule to set an appointment & get you answers fast.
